"I can think of no one better to serve Gilbert as Mayor. As a Gilbert native I have known Scott for over 30 years. I first began working with him as a volunteer trails & open space advocate on equestrain trails by my mini farm - Palomino Acres. I watched Scott design quality-of-life neighborhoods such as Val Vista Lakes, Islands, Morrison Ranch and develop our massive parks trail system and main district parks. It was his unique insight to use new housing developments to create multi-use trails for the open space feel that Gilbert enjoys now. He also ensured each major development included open space parks for residents to recreate within their neighborhood. Scott created Gilbert's first General Plan for the Town. Scott was also the creator of Gilbert's beloved Riparian Park. The GYSA board worked with Scott to design today's Gilbert Youth Soccer Complex, serving the youth soccer players of Gilbert. He knows first hand the quality of life Gilbert residents want! He will embrace those values as Mayor and serve as a tireless leader"
